PRECISION and HEAVY DUTY ACCESSORIES for exacting, or high load RC aircraft applications using Kimbrough molded couplers for the Rotary Driver System (RDS).

The Kimbrough Products molded couplers servo accessory package (Item #500) and the custom machined IRF accessory parts described below now make RDS installations possible for heavy duty applications.
The accessories, as seen above, consist of replacement aluminum coupler tops, hardened drive shafts and matched precision pockets ready to install in your R/C aircraft.
Description of the Precision HD Accessories
TEMPERED ALUMINUM COUPLER TOPS W/ .125 or .0937 BORE : (Used in place of the tiny Kimbrough coupler top). It is cross-drilled and tapped so as many as 4 setscrews (extras provided) may be used.
FLAP DRIVE SHAFTS: These are die-formed from 6" pieces of precision ground steel drill rod, then hardened and tempered. A 90 deg. bend is located to leave 5" of main shaft to trim to the length actually needed (3/32" shafts leave 5-1/4" of main shaft). The main shaft section has a 3" long flat ground into it to seat 2 of the 4 setscrews. Shafts can be shortened to as little as 2-1/2" and still leave the necessary 1/2" of the flat available. (Cutting with cut-off wheel on Dremel reccommended)
AILERON DRIVE SHAFTS: These are similar to the flap shafts, but have different bend angles. A 45 degree bend allows up to 45 degrees deflection. A 32 degree bend limits deflection to 30 degrees but doubles the effective servo torque and resolution.
ASSEMBLED POCKETS: We fabricate these pockets utilizing precision jigs, to the exacting specifications required by the Heavy Duty RDS system. Our pockets are matched to our drive shafts for a "buzz" free fit. The 1/8" pockets measure 3/4"x2-1/4"x7/32"thick with a 1-1/4" opening. The 3/32" pockets are 1/2"x2"x3/16" thick with a 1" opening.
